Nurse Practitioner (Tenens Locum)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team, dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing a wide range of health issues, providing personalized care, and promoting overall wellness among our patients. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with seasoned medical professionals in a supportive and patient-centered environment.

Compensation is paid based on experience and will include a very competitive benefit package that includes medical, vision/dental, life insurance, and a 401 (K) profit sharing plan.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage patient care to improve clinical outcomes.
  • Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and provide clear explanations of medical conditions and treatment options.
  • Prescribe medications and other therapies, monitor efficacy, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and medication management.
  • Maintain timely and accurate patient records through our electronic health record system.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and stay updated with advancements in medical practices and technologies.
  • Perform physical examinations of patients to evaluate health and diagnose illnesses
  • Order and perform diagnostic tests, such as x-rays and laboratory tests
  • Determine, plan, and initiate appropriate treatment, and adjust treatment if necessary
  • Prescribe and dispense medications
  • Document medical information of patients and maintain electronic medical records, currently using Tebra EMR.
  • Educate, instruct, and counsel patients and families on presenting health problems, treatment plans, and home care, and encourage and promote preventative health care and positive health behaviors
  • Request consultation or referral with other health care providers, such as physicians and clinics
  • Actively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends, and support research projects

Gain Hands-On Experience with Our Externship Program

Our externship program offers a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain practical experience in a real-world medical setting. Under the mentorship of Dr. Elisa C. Alvarado and our experienced team, externs will have the chance to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

      • Clinical Exposure: Work alongside our healthcare professionals in delivering primary and chronic care services, as well as aesthetic treatments.
      • Mentorship: Receive guidance and support from Dr. Alvarado and other experienced practitioners.
